First and foremost, we strive to continue the unique ministry started by John Wesley: Read Kevin Witt's article here. It begins: " It is no accident that the United Methodist Church has developed a large network
of Camp and Retreat Centers...."
2. We Offer
Quality
Christian education and spiritual growth for children, youth, and adults.
- Extensive training for
all our counselors and deans is mandated by our camp policies.
- Most of our Summer camps follow a nationally recognized Christian camp curriculum.
Appropriate and meaningful activities, studies, and discussions.
- Crafts, hikes, water sports, Bible studyall camp activities are designed
for the needs of the camp's age group.
Healthy
meals prepared by professional food service staff
- Special dietary needs can usually be accommodated with advance notice.
A safe and healthy experience
- Red
Cross-trained or professional health care provider at each campsite
- Each campsite and program
is required by camp policy to conform to risk management standards.
- Most of our children/youth programs are accredited by the American Camping Association
(ACA), whose health and safety requirements are considered nationwide to be the
industry standard for excellence.
